Aims and Scope


Near East Historical Review (NEHR), is an international, peer-reviewed, indexed, open-access, academic e-journal .The NEHR publishes original research articles in history. The NEHR is an international refereed journal and it is published electronically quarterly a year in January, April, July, October. The NEHR publishes maximum 20 articles in each issue. The publication language of Near East Historical Review is Turkish and English. The NEHR publishes previously unpublished original research articles, interviews, and translations, and  white papers. Articles submitted to NEHR should not be under evaluation in another publication venue.

Near East Historical Review (NEHR), aims to create a platform for academic studies that present information about the history of civilizations established in the Near East, and to share these studies with those interested in the subject.

NEHR includes articles of original research, analysis and compilation that present the political, economical and cultural history of the Near East with methods and approaches in accordance with the history discipline.

     Articles in NEHR can be submitted in a form of:

     regular research articles

     reviews -

     monographs

     Conference proceedings – (In the papers presented at scientific meetings such as symposiums or congresses, the name, place and date of the scientific meeting should be specified)

    Articles produced from postgraduate theses (the information of the decision-maker to publish this type of articles from the thesis should be stated in the footnote

     Other kinds of manuscripts will be judged solely based on the scientific merit of data/research provided

 

All submitted manuscripts by author(s) are subject to initial appraisal by the section Editor to peer review

as a double-blind by at least two independent and expert referees.

NEHR provides immediate open access to its content, on the principle that making research freely available

to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

NEHR; is a peer-reviewed online journal which publishes original research papers, review and the oretical manuscripts.
